Jakarta, Indonesia – 15 November 2022 – From Los Angeles and Seoul, BAIK ART opens its third gallery location at Jakarta. The inauguration will be officiated with Tumpeng exhibition, presenting Indonesian, Malaysian and Korean artists.
Over the past 8 years, BAIK ART has built a close connection with the art community in Indonesia. The gallery has exhibited works by artists across the globe such as Mella Jaarsma, Heri Dono, Elliott Hundley, Kenny Scharf, Gwon Osang and Restu Ratnaningtyas in Asia and North America. Other than Los Angeles and Seoul-based artists, BAIK ART Residency (B.A.R) has facilitated Indonesian artists such as Aliansyah Caniago, Tintin Wulia, and Mella Jaarsma. This cultural and artistic exchange has shaped a unique gallery identity and as a way of furthering these cross-cultural dialogues, which led to choosing Jakarta, Indonesia as the third gallery location.
