ABOUT
A collaborative installation by Lee Jeongbae and Jinju Lee presents a collection of both functional and art objects that reflect each of the artists respective, stylistic influences, and conceptual underpinnings. The works here draw from Lee Jeongbae’s interest in minimalist forms and incorporate overlays of Jinju Lee’s autobiographically inspired figurative painting.
This constructed duet between husband and wife not only celebrates the unity of their artistic practices but also examines the impacts they have had on each other’s development as well as the ways their visual inclinations have shaped their daily domestic life. The combination of furniture pieces and artworks looks to examine the intersections between visual aesthetic and ones’ natural surroundings.
